Richardson Refit |
This set of pictures shows the refit of a Richardson Microscope. The original slide table was removed and a set of “forks” was added to the original vertical table on the ‘scope. The forks allow the mounting of a tank to the microscope so that experiments could be recorded on a video capture mount that would attach to the top of the device.
You can see a pair of needles submerged in the tank—these needles were meant to have a tube connected to both sides to simulate a blood vessel. To the side is an angled transducer holder mounted to a Newport 3 axis positioning system. At the bottom you can see the components machined to seal the light focusing lens. |
